Tag sales
AFOC will continue the tag sale tradition with sales scheduled for the weekends after Memorial Day(June 3-5) and Labor Day (Sept. 9-11).
I hope many of you will be organizing all those unwanted treasures, which may be dropped off in the garages at the tag sale site any time after May 1. If you would like a tax receipt, there will be a folder with instructions and a tax receipt will be mailed to you right after each sale. We are very sorry, but we cannot pick up donations.
We will gratefully accept almost any donation in very good to excellent condition. Nothing should be stained or broken. Due to weight and recycling restrictions, we cannot accept very large items of furniture, excercise equipment or major appliances. We also cannot accept anything containing freon. We accept new clothing. No used clothing or furs, please. Please consider donating higher end items for our special boutique section.
Donations may be dropped off at any time convenient to you at 159 Nod Rd. Weatogue, CT 06089. This is on the Simsbury/Avon line, 1 1/2 miles north of Rte 44 at Avon Old Farms Inn and 1 1/2 miles south of Rte 185. The house is an old white farmhouse just north of the Pickin Patch Farm store. If you wish to save time/gas and shop when you bring your donations, I would recommend that you come late Thursday afternoon or Friday morning before the sales. June sale times are: Fri 6/3 2-7PM, Sat 6/4 8AM-5PM, Sun 6/5 8AM-Noon. Sept will follow the same schedule.
