Former Pets of the Week residents who because they were never selected have made AFOC their home.

Every Sunday in the paper AFOC in rotation with other organizations will have a Pet of the Week featured. Many times people will see our sweet residents and call and a adoption will take place. Unfortunately sometimes that does not happen. Below we have former Pet of the Week residents who were not lucky enough to find a good home.

Adopting a cat will not only give that cat a home but will make room in our shelter for a cat that is out in the elements with no food or water. If you have room in your heart please adopt.

Jacob has been at the shelter since the spring of 2006. He is a very handsome tiger. He needs all the attention. The volunteers at the shelter are working with Jacob about his manners. Jacob nips and we know that he will probably not get adopted because of this. It is unfortunate because he does get along with other cats(only females!) He does know what gets him treats! He is now in our Sponsor-A Pet program.

Mama Tina had a litter of kittens at the shelter in June of 2003, and they all found homes. But Mama Tina has been at the shelter since, waiting for a home of her own.  She is a domestic short-hair pretty tuxedo. She loves the volunteers attention and in return she sits on their laps. Mama Tina is very close to her feline friends at the shelter and has made it her home.

Cameron, Connie and Cara were rescued from behind a restaurant in Hartford. Their mother was living in the back and had many litters. The employees were able to find homes for most of them, but not all. They were born in March and are very attached to each other. They have been at the shelter since July 2004. They are now in our Sponsor-A-Pet program because they would not do well separated after so long a time together.

Kaylee & Kelly are sisters who were born late summer of 2004.  They were found at the railroad tracks in New Britain, abandoned and no mother cat to be found. They are very close and a little shy. Kaylee is a brown tabby who is blind in one eye. Kelly is a brown and golden tabby.
