CYCLING FOR CHARITY AFOC volunteers will be cycling to raise money for AFOC at the Charity Cycling Challenge March 26 at Healthtrax in Bristol. The CCC`s mission is to provide support for those in need throughout local communities, while promoting the importance of a fit and healthy lifestyle. The CCC began in 2008 as a small fitness event, and given its growth each year in the number of participants as well as the funds raised for charity, it has now become a well-established community event. Since its inception, over $40,000 has been received in charitable donations for both local and national organizations. You can help by donating, joining their team, or creating your own team! For more information email ginger.kunkle@gmail.com. To start your own team or to learn more about the challenge, visit www.charitycyclingchallenge.com. |

Fundraiser- Silent Auction. This year’s date will be May 3rd. Donations needed- Animal Friends of Connecticut will be holding its third annual fundraiser on May 3, 2011 at Flatbreads. Donations are needed for the silent auction. We would like each person who reads this, to please ask their favorite restaurant or hair dresser or veterinarian or pet supply store or pizza palor or gym or whatever to give a donation. If 100 people each collect one donation, the benefit will be the success it has been in the past. If the business you approach would like an introduction letter on Animal Friends letterhead, please contact George Murtha by email at llylaclama@aol.com and one will be sent to you. Be sure to include the address of the business and your mailing address. Thank you
